Standard x-ray equipment is mass produced for the traditional medical market. This equipment can be modified to acquire the different x-ray views needed in Specific & Upper Cervical techniques. However, the modified equipment does not maintain proper alignment for tilting bucky views or the longer distance views required for full spine x-rays. The loss of alignment that occurs when utilizing the standard equipment can result in misrepresentation of the anatomy resulting in miscalculation of a patients listing, further resulting in an incorrect adjustment which will enable the patient to get well. Also, standard equipment is limited in its range of motion making some views very difficult and in some cases impossible to acquire.
